I have even done some registry editting to no avail. Is there anyway to make the "hide modes this monitor can't display" box available permanently? As the thread title says, the box to untick to enable the monitor to display in resolutions that it does not support seems to be greyed out. coz if someone slide it to a higher resolution maybe problem may occur, maybe out range somethin like that. check over here

You should be able to set each display's resolution separately if you choose 'extend' as opposed to 'duplicate'.
